Fashion is what you adopt when you dont know who you are

Now i know although i have already uploaded photos of our stylings development from these ideas into distressed jeans but i thought i would upload this mood board made by Kayleigh Wright to show our groups initial ideas. The initial ideas consisted of bright wigs like those seen in Carlotta Actis Barones SS13 collection, then these would be decorated with various media that tie into the outfits and contrast that with monochrome accents, of the beetle juice inspired ankle socks.  The shoes would have bright laces and there would be bows around the necks, bows in the hair etc. Because we weren't given any budget at all for our ideas and we were told once we had put together these ideas that we wouldnt actually be able to use wigs on the models at the clothes show we had to begin to dilute our ideas down into a more feasible look, however i think this is where our problems occured as had we been able to create the look we originally  wanted i believe it would of been razzle dazzle/wonderland and looked honestly amazing, however because we couldnt because of budget/constraints of models we had to water it down and down until the ideas we were left with werent actually ours so as you saw in the previous posts i thought the jeans were a much better idea as we could afford to go ahead with that look and take it to its full capacity. And although it was a completely different look to this one i think through trial and error we got there, and i really enjoyed that whole learning curve of having to try one thing then another and deal with the constraints as it was a much more realistic insight into what a stylist is.
Anyway this was just a post to explain our original ideas, in the meeting with our whole class we pitched these ideas and got good feedback for them, rebecca told us that we wouldnt able to have wigs as the models werent being styled by us and they may have 'big hair' that day which would make it impossible to have wigs put on, it was a good job we were told this before we began making, and we were told to take our look to them the lecturers the following week (which is what my previous post on styling showed) ^.^
